4 Ways to Dilute the Calories in your Food!

What’s the secret to losing weight without being hungry?

Lowering the calorie density of each bite of food – that’s it.. that’s the big secret to losing weight without losing your mind!

I’m going to show you HOW you can eat more and weigh less by diluting your calories per bite in 4 easy steps:

step 1.  Skip the fattening dressings / sauces.  Instead, opt for fresh lemon and lime juice and spices to your salads and rice bowls.  Oily sauces and dressings are high in fat and calories and can double or even triple the amount of calories per bite of your meals.

step 2.  Sneak in dark leafy greens! Add a handful of organic baby spinach to your smoothies, soups, dips,  pasta dishes, etc.  It’s such an easy trick that lowers the overall calorie density of your meal.  Spinach, for example, is only 104 calories per pound!

step 3. Ditch the dehydrated foods.  No raisins, peanut butter powder, sun-dried tomatoes, etc.  When water is removed from food, it increases the calories per pound, big time!  When food is full of water (think melon or cucumber) it fills you up without adding any calories.  Wet plant foods are the perfect thing to include in your meals if weight loss is your goal. #lowcaloriedensity

step 4. Potatoes, potatoes, potatoes! The PERFECT weight-loss food if I do say so myself.  Potatoes are the most satiating food AND they are low on the calorie density scale because of the high water and fiber content.  If you’re thinking “but – don’t potatoes make you FAT?”  No. No. No.  If you don’t believe me, google “Andrew ‘Spudfit’ Taylor” who ate nothing but potatoes for an entire year.  SPOILER ALERT: He lost a bunch of weight and got super healthy.

In this video, I’ll go into more detail and give examples of EXACTLY how to use these steps to lower your calories per bite. AND, if you stay until the end of the video, you’ll get to see me make a ‘low calorie density’ recipe that applies all four of these tips!
